A Promissory note was presented to the cashier of the Harrison’s Bank in Indianapolis and the holder was told there were insufficient funds to pay the note issued by John Holms.

This document is a Protest dated November 7th 1868 against the situation, requesting to be paid any additional costs as well as the note itself.
